JEWELLERY CARE
EVERYDAY CONSIDERATIONS & PRECAUTIONS
- Avoid exposing your jewellery to direct heat and sunlight to prevent harm.
- Always remove your jewellery before entering water, engaging in physical activity, or bathing. Exposure to chlorine in pools and hot tubs can lead to significant damage, including discoloration, erosion, and increased fragility, resulting in potential breakage.
- Minimise your jewellery's contact with perfumes, lotions, and cosmetics as these can hasten tarnishing and congest settings and links.
- Prevent scratches and damage by avoiding friction with abrasive surfaces and contact with other metals.
STORAGE
Store each piece of jewellery separately in its original packaging, in a cool and dry environment to avoid scratches, tangling, or tarnishing.
CARE & CLEANING
Regular cleaning and polishing are essential to maintain your jewellery’s shine and check for any signs of wear and tear.
For cleaning gold or silver jewellery, wipe it gently with a jewellery cloth. Using the cloth's cleaning side first for dirt, then the polishing side for shine.
Coloured gemstones should be delicately cleaned with a damp, soft cloth and mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners to prevent damage or cracking.
Pearls are quite resilient, yet they are susceptible to damage from many chemicals found in cosmetics and perfumes. To maintain their lustre, it's advisable to gently wipe pearls with a cloth lightly dampened with water.
